Dc-VET WB - WP3 Fostering Social Inclusion: "Creative Bag" Art Workshop

The students of the IPP program at the High School for Tourism and Catering Sarajevo had an exciting December filled with engaging activities aligned with their field of study and creativity. One highlight was the "Creative Bag" Art Workshop, held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, as part of the Learning for Life section's initiatives under the Dc-VET WB Project.

The workshop began with teacher Selma H. Spahić providing students with an introduction to textile paints and their application on fabric surfaces. This session was particularly insightful for many students, as it marked their first experience working with this medium.

Under the guidance of teacher Selma, alongside section leaders Merima Džirlo and Emina Popara-Užičanin, students brainstormed creative designs for their bags. Encouraged to express their unique ideas, the students approached the activity with enthusiasm and a spirit of discovery.

The primary goal of the workshop was to encourage students to explore their creativity and imagination while developing valuable life skills. By engaging in this artistic process, participants cultivated a sense of security, boosted self-confidence, and honed their independence and self-control.

Additionally, the workshop promoted teamwork, respect for others, and the building of new friendships, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

As a token of gratitude, the members of the Learning for Life section, along with the section leaders, expressed their heartfelt thanks to teacher Selma for organizing a workshop that would remain a cherished memory. The personalized creative bags serve as lasting reminders of the friendship and joyful moments shared during this unique experience.
