Strengthening Education–Labor Market Links: DC VET WB Multiplier Event at IUS

As the three-year DC VET WB project approaches its final phase, the DC VET WB Multiplier Event, organized by the IUS Lifelong Learning Center – IUS Life, was successfully held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, who emphasized the vital role of vocational education and training (VET) and the importance of strategic cooperation between IUS and external stakeholders in strengthening the links between education and the labor market.

The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including representatives of the academic and business communities of Sarajevo Canton, vocational education and training schools from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the media, representatives of the National Erasmus Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as students and teachers. This diverse attendance created an excellent platform for dialogue, networking, and the exchange of good practices in VET and lifelong learning.

Representing UNISER, Ms. Giulia Uccero joined the event online and addressed participants via video link, highlighting the key outcomes of the project and the importance of international cooperation for the successful implementation of joint educational initiatives.

During the presentation delivered by IUS Life as a partner in the DC VET WB project, participants were introduced to the project’s main achievements and results, as well as the challenges encountered throughout the three-year implementation period. In addition, other Erasmus+ initiatives were presented, including Joint Hosting and Job Shadowing, implemented in cooperation with strategic partner UNISER Learning Mobility.

The IUS Lifelong Learning Center – IUS Life extends its special gratitude to the Rector for his continuous support of its activities and initiatives that contribute to the development of lifelong learning and vocational education.

Our sincere thanks also go to our partner Heritage Krone Hotel for their hospitality and excellent organization, as well as to the dedicated IUS staff for their outstanding commitment, professionalism, and ongoing support.

Finally, we thank all participants for contributing to the success of this meaningful event and for their continued support of the work and mission of the IUS Lifelong Learning Center.
