On Thursday May 4, 2017, the first Poetry and Spoken Word Workshop was held in IUS Life. The workshop was given by Elvira Korman who is a spoken word artist based in Rotterdam, Holland. The participants varied and included both students and teachers from and outside of IUS. The topics focused on the poetic devices used in creative poetry. The participants discussed how and why they started writing poetry and were encouraged to create poetry in different styles.
