''Six Sigma” Seminar was successfully completed at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) in the period from 21 to 22 January 2016. The Seminar was organized with support of the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center (LEC) of the IUS. Lecturer at the Seminar was Ali Javaid, accredited expert in the field ''Six Sigma'' who has extensive work experience in this area. During his career, he also obtained a significant number of certifications and specialized training such as IT Business Manager Certification, Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, Cobit5-F Certification, and he also took the training in the field of Risk Management that he successfully completed in the United States. Ali Javaid is currently engaged as trainer in the field of Management Information Systems at the University in United Arab Emirates.
This Seminar brought together a large number of eminent lecturers from the field of education, as well as professors, academics, staff and students of the IUS. In a very dynamic atmosphere, the Seminar gave participants the opportunity to be educated on new methods in the field of organization and leadership skills, with the purpose of using modern approach to training. When it comes to organization and promotion of seminars and workshops for the purpose of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the IUS poses as a recognizable leader who possesses a high quality image in Bosnia and beyond. Being aware of the rigorous approach in evaluating standards and quality it is important that the ways for eliminating defects in any process are firm and are handled with discipline, because they are essential for further development. IUS has recognized the importance of this type of seminar/workshop event and will certainly continue to work on the strategic development of educational methods through these and similar projects.
