IUS visit the University of Cadiz

As a part of Erasmus+ the exchange program, professors and administrative staff of the International University of Sarajevo visited the University of Cadiz in Spain. The IUS representation made Prof. Dr. Vesna Suljic, and Prof. Amra Cemo, both teaching at ELIT, as well as Mirsada Mehremic, Assistant Director of IUS Life, and Azra Spahic-Jasika, PR officer. The IUS staff met with many professionals at Cadiz University and they were more than enthusiastic about our future cooperation. The host of this visit was Maryia Maiseyenko, who is in charge of the Ofice of Internationalization and who represented the host university.
IUS representatives met with Vice-Rector Rafael Bienvenido, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Art Rafael Velez, University of Extension Director Salvador Catalan, Director of the Student Secretary Fernando Sanchez, Director of International Projects Javier Izquierdo and other heads of relevant departments of the University. Possibilities for cooperation within the Erasmus + K107 program and other programs were discussed.
Attendance certificates for our staff were awarded by Michel Remi, Director of the Office of Internationalization.
IUS students going to Cadiz University will have the opportunity to learn the Spanish language, live in a picturesque Andalusia town, and add one more language to their CV.
Spanish language teachers have expressed their desire to offer these language courses to students and the public at IUS. We hope that with the support of adequate grants this idea will be realized.
The University of Cadiz is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and is the leading Spanish university in terms of Erasmus exchanges.
22,000 students attend this university on 4 campuses.
A visit by colleagues from the University of Cadiz is planned for April 2020.
Projects and visits like this make IUS part of the global educational community.
